We aim to offer you and your family a community where children and adults of diverse backgrounds and ethnicity can “come and share their gifts and receive from others.” We invite you to come to learn, explore, be entertained and just plain have fun while fulfilling one of MBAA’s core missions—nurturing and promoting African-American arts and heritage
MBAA’s FireHouse Community Arts Academy attracts emerging and established literary, performing and visual artists. New audiences and students engage their own creativity in a “family reunion” atmosphere.
Where do I begin? – Each student is unique, and our flexible programs are designed to meet individual needs and schedules. For help in planning the best possible program for you and your family, please call us at 901.948.9522 or visit our offices. Classes are offered year-round to ensure a continuous progression of learning opportunities from age 3 to adulthood. Helping to reduce the costs of classes, fees are underwritten, in part ,by public and private grants and contributions.
