Please note - In general, the FireHouse Community Arts Academy and Center follows the closings of Memphis City Public schools. Sometimes we will open for evening classes or open on time even if the school system decides not to. Location / Directions
The Memphis Black Arts Alliance is headquartered in the FireHouse Community Arts Center which is located in a racially and economically diverse neighborhood. on Bellevue/Elvis Presley Blvd, U.S. Highway 51, easily accessible from Interstate I-240 at Lamar on the west and Central Ave on the east. It is bordered on the north by the Medical Center, the new University Park Development and Central Gardens and serves as a vital gateway to the Soul of the City, South Memphis/Soulsville, USA, which is home to this region's most historic African-American contributions to education, business, religion and culture.
